Single purpose
PulseWrite exists for one purpose: to help you rewrite the text you type in web forms and editors using the AI model of your choice. We do not use the extension for any other purpose.
Overview
PulseWrite is a browser extension that sends the text you choose to rewrite to the AI provider you select. We collect only what is necessary to provide that service.
AI rewriting
When you trigger a rewrite, the selected text is sent to our AI proxy (or your own AI provider, if you've configured Bring Your Own Key). We log only metadata — provider, model, credits charged and timestamps — to enforce quotas and bill usage. We do not store the contents of your rewrite requests and we do not use them to train any model.
What we collect
Personally identifiable info: your email address, when you create an account. Authentication info: an encrypted session token stored locally so you stay signed in. Web content: only the specific text you submit for a rewrite — never the rest of the page, never silently in the background. User activity: usage counters (rewrites per month, tones used, models used) so we can enforce plan limits.
What we do NOT collect
We do not collect: health data, financial info, personal communications you haven't submitted to us, browsing history, location, or any data from pages you don't actively interact with. We never read the contents of fields you haven't focused. We never sell or transfer your data to third parties for advertising or any other unrelated purpose.
Compliance with Chrome Web Store policies
Our use of information collected through PulseWrite adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not allow humans to read it except (a) with your explicit consent, (b) for security, or (c) to comply with applicable law.
Account data
If you sign up, we store your email, plan, connected device IDs and billing identifiers via our payment processor. You can delete your account from Settings at any time.
Cookies & local storage
The extension uses chrome.storage.local to remember your settings and license token on your device only. The web app uses cookies for authentication.
Your rights
You can export or delete all account data at any time by emailing the address below. If you remove the extension, your local settings, session, and any BYOK key are deleted from your browser.
Children
PulseWrite is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
